Typical Applications:

Its typically applied for protecting electronic devices of high MOS against vapour and air pollution in long term, and for protecting wiring of high precision electrical appliances and hybird circuits as well, and its also applied as potting compound for protection of small electrical appliances.

Notes for application:

 

  • Make sure the material to be protected is clean and dry;
  • Make sure the two components are mixed in a ratio of 1:1 either by volume or weight; Vacuum (10~20 mm mercury column) pumping for 5 ~ 10 minutes is recommended.
  • Put the C-616 under room/ambient temperature for 2 hours (which is referred by us as the working hour) after its mixed in recommended ratio, hence to have its viscosity doubled.  
  • Try to avoid bringing in any air while operating as much as possible, and its recommended to perform the filling operation under vacuum condition for circuit boards of sophisticated shape ;

Special Notes:

While applying the C-616, please be noted especially not to expose it to any of following substances, otherwise, it may not be fully cured or even not be cured at all.

- Organic tin

- Silicone products that contain organic tin

- Sulfur-containing substances

- Amino group, polyurethane, amide and azide

 

Reparability:

C-616 has good reparability, and it itself is quite pressure-sensitively adhesive, therefore, the material under its repairing and adhesion effect can be well integrated consistently.

 

Package and Storage:

 

In general, C-616 is packed in a way of a combined unit (18kg+18kg).

 

Storage and Shelf Life:

Can be stored under room/ambient temperature.

C-616 has a shelf life of 12 months when its unpacked and remains in sealed status.
