Notes for application:

  • Make sure the surface of base material is clean, dry and free from dust, oily stains or other substances that may adversely impact normal curing and adhesion effect of the Product;
  • Unpack the two components, agitate and premix them in a ratio of 1:1 by weight;
  • Mix the two components thoroughly, vacuum degas the mixture and then immediately fill it into the electronic parts to be protected by potting compound.
  • Allow the potting compound to be cured at room temperature or under heated condition;
  • Once unpacked yet not mixed, it shall be fully consumed as earlier as possible. If not, store the residues in a sealed status and keep it from being exposed to water content in the air.

 

Precautions for Application:

  1. The silicone potting compound put in storage may have few sediment laying at bottom of its container, therefore, before using it, try to disturb and mix them with the top floating oil effectively, and then mix A and B in a ratio of 1:1.
  2. Once mixed and placed at temperature below 25, it will only have about 40 minutes to work, otherwise, it could be too dense or even solidified to be poured for filling.
  3. Curing time of the silicone potting compound varies at different temperatures, which is about 8~16 hours if at 25, 0.2 hours if at 70and 2~3 days if at 10.
  4. Exposure to some chemicals such as sulfur-containing compounds, organic compounds containing amino groups, olefins or alkynes etc might be poisoning to the catalyst of the Product, and thereby lead to a longer curing time or even failure of curing.

 

Storage and Shelf Life:

C-628 has a shelf life of 12 months when its unpacked and stored at temperature below 30. Try to fully consume the unpacked product as earlier as possible .
